Thanks Yota, look what I bought!
Hi Guys,
I was using yotatech as my source of information when deciding on what year and model Toyota Truck I wanted to buy.
I finally found my new truck, which will replace my existing 1988 Toyota.
Here she is:
4x4
156K
New Tires
Shell and Bed Linder
V6 3.0
$3,300
Also pictured is my old truck, 1988 22R with 182K.
Thanks and I'll have questions for you guys in the future.

Yep, the 88 is bad ass too.
That one has a rebuilt engine with <20K miles on it. Replaced the radiator, clutch, windsheild, and just did rear brake work. Gets around 26 mpg.
I'm going to sell that one in about 2 weeks or so, I'm thinking $1,800 is a fair price, at least for the bay area.

alot of that depends on where you live also,
for those of us that live in the northwest, these extended cabs are like gold, that same truck (roughly judging by the pics and mileage) would be advertised for $6000 to $8000 and could be sold all day long for $5k, '90-'95 4runners used to be the same, and you can still find people asking waaaay too much for them, but they are getting to be alot cheaper than the 4x4 extra-cabs
I agree that 89-95 Extra Cabs are the sweetest body style, and that's why I own one too!!! (If I had the extra cash, i would have gone for a Taco, just to have the 3.4)

I wanted to get the 96 extended cab tacoma.
But I swear to god, they just don't go on sale in the bay area.
I searched as far out as 200 miles and couldn't find anything for a month.
Then I stumbled across this beauty of a machine. Bought it on the spot, it was up on CL for less than 2 hours. She didn't know what hit her, I saw it, called, drove over at 9 at night and gave her the cash.
I really wanted the 3.4 but I just couldn't find one with ext and 4x4 that wasn't beat to or insanely $$$$. Maybe it's the Bay Area but to look at what I wanted I would have to drop 8K. For 3300 I got an everything I wanted, and the 3.0 is in excellent condition. Always had it's oil change, and it was a well documented truck.
