Temp guage in truck is not working - 22re
What sensor causes the temp gauge in the truck to read? I know there is the coolant temp sensor under the throttle body but there is also a sensor on the lower intake that has coolant running under it, a little flat tab sensor that one wire slips on. Also, i just put a new water pump on but for some reason it doesnt seem like coolant is cycling, any ideas would help. Thank you.

The one that is located between cylinders #2 and #3, the single wire one that you mentioned. As far as cycling it the thermostat opening? It wont cycle until the t-stat opens and then for just a short time and if your water pump is working.
