A/T temperature light

I recently had to replace my throttle cable and in so doing had to drop the transmission pan (a great time I might add). Thanks to all who responded for help with the cable.

I have everything back together and the fluid back in. It says with just a drain and fill you should run abour 4.8 qts of fluid, and thats about where I am at and the level looks good. The A/T temp light stays on or flickers to almost off upon acceleration. Not sure what the heck is going on, fluid level is fine and it drives ok just not sure why the light stays on.

Any ideas?

Why is there no answer to your question?
I have been looking for an answer to the exact same problem on my 92 4runner for at least 3 days.
Will check back in couple days
Thanks

You are checking the atf while its running right?

Check wires to sensor?

There is no magic answer #2 poster...you will have to actually work on finding the problem based off of suggestions.

Go get dirty and figure it out.
