A/T light, brake light, & battery light ON!!
I'm new here and got a problem (surprise). The A/T temp light, brake light and battery light on my '92 4Runner are all coming on at the same time. I had the A/T fluid power flushed, drove about 5 miles (at about 30 mph) and they came on again. I'm not noticing any problems with the transmission other than the lights.
Other symptoms: If the A/C is on, the lights go off (at least for awhile) when I cut the A/C off. I use the truck only for hunting on the weekends. The lights would come on right away in the summer, but only after driving aways in the fall.
My mechanic says he worked on a 4runner before that had the same thing happening but he never could figure out what was triggering the lights to all come on despite having worked on it extensively.
I read in another post, where a bad altenator had caused the A/T light and Battery light to go on (no mention of brake light). Could this also be caused by the altenator?
Could a sensor be bad?
Thanks in advance for any input!

above diagnosis "3rd'ed"... exact same symptoms (the brake, AT temp, and batt lights) as when my alternator went south last fall.
you can get a re-man'd OEM alternator for approx $150 at sparkplugs.com, though lots of people will recommend a HO unit. good luck.
