It depends on your idea of hard.

For some on here almost impossible others could do it with their eyes closed

If you can change a clutch or pull an Auto trans you will be fine.

One should have help for the heavy lifting just in case but it can be done alone if really needed

One big Hint makes it so much easier.

Have the parts vehicle right there or a weekend will turn into several running for things you never thought of.

alright thank you i have just been conteplating it over the last week because the auto tranny just isnt cutting it. Is there a length difference between the 2 trannies and is there any cutting through the firewall to install?

The driveshafts are a different length
You have to do mild cutting of the trans tunnel
You need the peddle bracket along with the clutch peddle

You can buy new master and slave cylinder
You have to run a hardline from master to soft line to hardline again to the slave.
There is a little cut and splice to the wiring harness to to fix the park-neutral start issue and to fix the ECT error.

There are several conversion threads on here.

I would read all the threads on here it will give you an idea of all the possible problems.

I think in just about all of them someone always forgets something.

That`s why I love having the whole parts truck what you don`t want can be parted or just scrapped when finished.

I got the whole Truck to do this swap for $300.00
