Swapping back from a Weber to the stock carb

hey folks, I was just wondering if anyone had advice on running this motor with the stock carb with the egr and other vacuum systems removed. i'm having trouble with my 32/36... vacuum leak, i think its the carb body itself. anyways the point is i want to temporarily have the truck running right, but i took the egr system off and tossed it as well as all the vacuum and air pump stuff. the only vacuum i have hooked up is the spark advance.

all that being said, could i just put the stock carb back on and cap off it's vacuum ports (other than the advance) and be ok?

To be honest I don't know the answer to your question.
Not sure your location, but if you're in CA and need to smog than I am guessing you'll have to hook it all back up or maybe take some white out to the emissions info under the hood (kidding).
