suspension clicking in front!!!!!!!!!!

when i turn, or hit a small bump or come ofthe BIG speed bumps, there is a clicking sound, like a small clunk. in the front right wheel area, i cant figure it out, my grandpa says it might be someting loose, or maybe the ball joints (we just changed them about 9, 000km ago.) i hope someone can please help me.

I currently have a clicking sound up front that I cant locate either. My last one I had was from the rubber bushing eroding from around the top of the strut mount so the little nut on top would clap up and down against the mount. You might check that.... I'm still out of ideas on mine though so I hope some other ideas get posted here.

Last sound I had was from either an upper bumper bolt or the front body mount. I tightened up everything I could in the front and it went away.

If it helps, I could turn around and kick the tire with the bottom of my foot just hard enough to get it to make the noise. It helped loads with figuring out where it was coming from...

thats one way to find out where the noise is coming from! i will have to try that, so it is not just an isolate insodent, maybe Toyota will have another Champain if enough people complain out that noise.

I also have the same sort of issue, A clunk when I crank it on eneaven ground, and some quieter clinking on washboard when going kinda fast.

My mech thought it was the ball joints, I had the lowers replaces and still the sound continues. Doesent seem to really effect the truck so it will have to wait till I get more money.

Check your steer stop bumper rubber things. I had same problem and replaced all of them and there were a few worn thru that stopped my issue.

Or you can just put some grease on the face of the steering stop when you do regular maintenance. Stops that squeek.

Many years later .. I have the same problem.

It doesn't affect the driveability, but I have a feeling they are the rubber bushings holding the struts. I just don't know how to test the suckers... I tried a few things but no conclusive results.

Any ideas forumers???
