stupid question

I know...there aren't any stupid questions, but really this one is...

On an overseas truck with drivers side being on the right, is the gas pedal still on the right or is it on the left and clutch on the right?

See...I told you it was a stupid question. I just saw a picture of a double cab with the wheel on the wrong side so it made me think.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the pedals are the same.
but reverse is the wrong way.

...and there really aren't stupid questions, just stupid answers.

^^ They're not going to swap gears or pedals around just for a different model. It's a standard.

Pedals are the same, gear shifter is the same, you're just on the other side of it.
Think about how much it would cost for a company to completely reverse the gears in the shifter, only for it to be exactly opposite to what everyone else is used to.

what i meant by that was not place to place... brand to brand ( like how most reverse is behind 5th but with some reverse is down under 1st ( i didnt mean from country to country just brand to brand)

as for the gears... all they'd have to do is move the shift forks around. not really hard at all.

Hmmm. gear placement, I forgot to ask about that.

so it could be backwards like:

531
R42

that would really screw me up on the road.

Actually, turn signals are opposite on a RHD car. That's about the only thing.

wow, who knew there could be so many different answers to my "stupid question" I love it...

so, we have decided the following:

the pedals remain in the same configuration.
the shifter patterns (on same vehichle model) stay the same
the turn signal gets moved to other side of column...wich i would think means the wiper control would move too
and...someone thinks that Barack will fix something...

Hmmm. I guess I learned something today
