stupid clamp together exhaust
Here goes my
ok, so if you have followed my Downey header problems you know where I am at, so I pulled the driver side header this morning.
I wrestled with it for about 3 hours trying to get it out once I unbolted the header and undid the exhaust clamp going to the x-over - It would only move 1/4".
I am pretty sure it is because when you clamp the clamp down so it won't leak, it crushes the 2 pipes a little bit and now it wont release the header.
So, I wound up making a nice clean cut on the closest straight piece of pipe I could get to with the sawzall. NOT WHAT I WANTED TO DO
Oh yea, and to boot, I get to take it down to the exhaust shop and see if they can fix the leaky collector that Downey's Customer Dis-service swears can't exist and has never come up before.
If I could find my camera I would take you guys a picture.
Anywho, off to work on a Jeep(ZJ).... UGGGG - Why do I have to do this to myself... Although working on it makes me feel much better about my Toyota's.
