Strange electrical problem

I just got my 92 runner back from the mechanic after a full rebuild on my 3.0 Yesterday it started acting up, every time I hit a bump or make a sharp turn it dies. The engine doesn't bog down or stall, everything shuts off and the idiot lights come on on the dash. Sometimes it will die then start back up on its own, and other times it will die, i will pull over and it fires right up. I don't understand what could be going on

To add to it all I have checked my battery connections and the alternator appears to be hooked up properly

do you have an alarm installed? or was previously installed?

i had a kill switch that was removed then they pulled the alarm out before they sold the truck. turns out 4 years later, the masking tape finally fell off the ends of the wires and they were bouncing around barely touching randomly shutting off (and turning back on) the truck as i hit random bumps.

I ran into this kind of problem once. 5 shops couldn't find it. Turns out the crank position sensor wire was rubbing through and grounding on the power steering line, whenever the truck was accelerated hard forward (reverse was fine).

Find the sensor on the front of the engine, and trace the wiring up and across the intake. Pay particular attention to where the wire makes turns.

It is almost certainly a sensor problem, or possibly an ignition. Mechanical problems do not die and restart instantly. And ignition problems tend to take a few minutes to cool off and restart.
