Straight pipe cat back exhaust project. LOTS OF VIDS!
Okay so basically I was bored with the stock sound, so I took off the muffler just to hear it for kicks and giggles. I found it actually sounded good at low rpm! so then I decided to try converting it to straigh pipes after the cat. I did that by cutting out the muffler and welding aluminized pipe in place. It was okay but it wasn't quite right, so I got a resinater tip from a friend and that helped alot. Unfortunetly it didn't fit right and looked retarded from the side so I thought "what the hell" and converted my Exhaust to rear exit. Over all I think it looks great and sounds awsome, but is a bit too raspy coming down rpms. I did a video clip every step of the way as well as recorded the stock muffler sound. All measured welded and fabbed by me for a net total cost of......$0.00

The last vid really doesn't do it justice, it sounds ALOT better in real life. It is very loud outside, (and thats great to me since im still 18 and like loud noises ) but honestly in the cab if stock was a 4/10 this is a 5/10. Its very reasonable inside. I am overall very satisfied with this project and it took about 4 hours, so very easy. if enough people like it I can make a guide of legth of pipes needed and bends needed.
dont know if the vids worked so if not hold tight i'm working on it.
Thanks!

Meh, sounds like every other rusted out Toyota here in the NE. Unless you have a mildly built motor, or motor swap, I think a stock sounding exhaust is plenty.
Though, I do have other toys with loud exhausts, so I guess I just want the truck to be quiet, especially on a trail with others. It gets old.

99% gutted for a roll cage install. Once the cage is in, it's mostly downhill. I'd like to have it drivable by summer '10 /hijack. LOL.
