Stock Rear Speaker Wires?

Stock Rear Speaker Wires?
For the stock speakers in the cargo area, there appears to be 2 seperate plugs for each speaker. There is the (I'd call normal) one with just 2 wires for the typical operation. But then, there is also a 3 wire harness. Each side has this and there is nothing that they could possibly go to. Am I missing something? Thanks everyone.
