Stock Intake Manifold ?.

I was wondering if the intake manifold from an 84-85 toyota celica with a 22RE would be the same as the intake manifold on my 86 4Runner with a 22RE, would it be a direct bolt on ?, im asking because my intake manifold is full of that black carbon build up, and i have access to an intake manifold from an 84-85 toyota celica with a 22RE, and i was thinking of taking that intake manifold and cleaning it out and swaping it onto my truck, if it will work, that way my truck won`t be down for several days while im cleaning the intake manifold.

Yes. Even the intake on 83 EFI Celicas will work as they're all the same (83-88 22re)

If you're going to go through the problem of taking off the manifold from your truck, and cleaning the manifold from a different car, which you're not exactly sure everything is going to work what with the obvious different vacuum passages and the like considering the differences between a passenger car and commercial vehicle of different years at that...
Why not just clean the manifold from your truck... which you already know works on your engine? If you can spend a day swapping manifolds, why not a day removing, cleaning and reinstalling?
Oh, you're just looking for minimal downtime.

I bought an upper intake from a 91 toyota truck for 25.00 dollars, it is the same as whats on my truck, and being from a later model truck its not angled down were the throttle body mounts on wich gives a little bit better air flow. I also bought an AFM from an 82 celica with a 5M-GE engine, it has a 3'' opening on each side and will flow more air than the stock AFM.

The above mod is a good idea if you can find the manifold.
Alternately, find a machine shop in your area that can "hot tank" aluminum... It's really the only way to get all that gunk out.
