I don't understand the fascination with these black steel wheels. They are heavy, rarely true and have the potential to rust. With that being said, the black looks pretty nice...

Yeah I'm with Cebby go with stock black wheels, I did,and you can get this special paint from duplicolor made just for painting wheels, dries super fast! I got mine at autozone, it looks really good. I you have to do is wash, sand, mask (if tire is still on) and paint. Best part when you screw up the wheel off roading you can get another one just about anywhere not to mention cheaper than aftermarket wheels. Just my .02¢.

I haven't seen black in the Duplicolor wheel paint, only white, silver and charcoal. My black example above was painted with SEM trim black just to get idea - that paint would not be durable enough for wheels.

I ended up with Duplicolor silver...

Aircraft remover and steel wool (use gloves!) does a good job on taking off the clearcoat if you want to paint the stock wheels. Just a little advice from the honda crowd. Painting stock GSR/SI alloys is pretty common on honda-tech.com, I used to spend a lot of time on there.

I like them alot and the best part I didn't buy the $500 wheels that I would cry when I get a nick on them. Used that money for my flex-a-lite and ProComp stuff. You should do it, it's not hard at all, I just sanded and wiped with acitone (spelling) and then get to spraying. easy stuff

I would personally go with either the stock look of the SR5 rims or paint them with the duplicolor silver. I hope to have my rims powdercoated in about the same color here in the next couple of weeks. I can then put some tires on 'em, mount 'em, put 'em on the truck, and have some fun.

I prefer the stock look, but that's just me.

Well, you asked!
