steering stablizer shock - autozone

so a few days ago i went to get my new truck aligned and they said i needed a new pitman arm, and shock. so ran to autozone ordered the needed parts. changed out the idler arm for s and giggles, the pitman arm, and when i went to replace the shock, it's way different. it doesn't even have theballjoint like the factory shock had. i will post pictures tomorrow, anyone else has this trouble. also the end that slides in the bracket on the passanger side is way to big. am i missing something?

you might, search around for 'steering stabilzer' or similar and see what pops up.

you need a dampener that goes from eye to stud, not eye to eye.

so this is not the right one they sold me then. even tho autozone and gaberial shocks show this shock to be the correct one. i'm i missing an adapter kit for this? because i can bolt it with no issues to the driver side, but will not fit into the passanger side bracket/hanger.

i found this posting last night, but the passanger side mounting location looks different. i will try to take pics ASAP. i know by bracket bolts the end the shock from left to right. which means it slides in from either top or bottom. not like the one in the picture which looks like it slides into the bracket from left to right, and the bolt would go from top to bottom.
