Steering shaft compression

Hey guys, I am changing the seal on the input of my steering box and I cant get the shaft to compress enough to get it of the box. It's an IFS box with extended shaft. I've loosened the clamps at the box end and the firewall end. I can get the box end to pry off but the top clamp wont let loose at all to get it all the way off. I hosed it with PB blaster and will try again in the morning. Any other ideas?

Thanks!
