Stainless steel brake lines that are not 26" long

I finally got new tires. Went from the wonderfully dinky 28.5 inch to 32X11.5. Problem is braking. I always knew I would need to make some upgrades to the brakes.

I have been looking for stainless steel brake lines. I have searched up and down and can't seem to find any that are near stock length. All the regular offroad shops I know of have 26-inch ones. This will leave me with more than 10-inch of extra hose. Don't want that. I have a 1.5 inch suspension lift.

suggestions, ideas, a link to this topic in yotatech I didn't find

thanks peeps!

Loop your lines into a soft circle then cable tie them out of the way.

There must be some one that makes custom lines just the question of is the cost worth it

Wyoming, that is my worst case scenario, to tie them in a circle. ANd, no, it's not worth the hassle of custom made. I just find it difficult to accept that there aren't other lengths out there. Especially for most people who don't do a 5-inch lift.

Maybe I am missing something? Why are the aftermarket SS hoses so long???

Why do you feel that is the worst case .

I guess it depends just how bad you want them.

I needed brake hoses one day in a hurry those were all I had I meant to change them out but it has been quite a few years now.

You checked all the places like Summit Racing

I know Rabid Chimp had some assortment of stainless lines but that was years ago I don`t know if he is still around.

Wyoming9, I just don't want extra clutter in an area where branches and bushes are plenty

Greg_Canada, Thanks for that link. I put in the car info and it seems to suggest it does have one that fits. I'll try to see how long they are and go from there.

Conclusion:

The steel hoses from the parts shops, including Autoanything seem to be within an inch of stock length. I have a 1.5" BL and 1.5" suspension lift, the stock ones are nearly stretching.

Long story short, I was ordering other items from trail gear anyway, so I threw in the ridiculously long 26'' steel braided hoses too. Better deal than most part shops too.

thanks for all you help guys

some ancient info circa 2003

Basically - the hoses are readily custom made.
What you need are the hose END part numbers that work with your Toyota.
And those numbers are below

The shop listed - I THINK still exists - yes - its in Gasoline Alley as part of the the INDY track - and yeah - I think they make hoses for the Indy cars and stuff.

Earls Servi Shop
302 Gasoline Alley
Indianapolis IN 46222

317.241.0318

Toyota trucks use what appears to be an ISO "bubble"
flare at the end of the hard line.

If you go custom hoses, the following ends seem to
work for me
steel:
641003 - -3AN Female 10mm x 1 convex (Toyota)
stainless
641093 - -3AN Female 10mm x 1 convex (Toyota)

For that rear line - well I got the line premade (aka
Downey set circa 1990) so I have no idea what end it
used. If I had to do it over Id use adapters and
swivel seal ends for ease of install.

-3AN to 10mmx1.0
592032

Double check with Earls on the part numbers - my
catalog is like 10 years old...

Looks like I'm a little late with the reply but if you look at LCEngineering.com they have stock length, +3" length, +6" length and the 26" length braided lines.
