Do the spool, gears and tires all at the same time if you're going to be driving it on the road. But it shouldn't be terrible with 5.29s on 33s from what I've read on here.

you guys both are liars how would 904 know anything he dont have a spool and now that he does his truck broke lol
ive had my spool (welded) for almost a year now same tyres just rotated once and she was my dd drove her about 300 miles a week to and from milwaukee to appleton ( about 2 hours) no problems
one thing though is when your trying to park it in a garage you have to roll it a little bit to get it into rev, from 1st if your at full lock but other then that there really fun to drive in the snow
and yes im 31's w/ 4:10 all wells

I have 35's with 5.29s and its good. with 33's you will probably be stuck in the slow lane on the highway but if your gonna get gears 5.29s is the way to go.

Speed wise, I think many of us spent time in the slow lane, even more on windy days. Spools are great if you cand drop the green for the ARB. Traction gets action!

lol.. Yea i hear you about the slow lane. 5.29's with 33's the fastest i have gone is to 75 according to the speedometer, and its way off. So i don't know exactly how fast i am going when i drive. pulling hills is a lot better now though. So im not complaining! lol

I would buy a lockright. Its pretty much the same price but it will unlock in corners. Will save you $$ in the long run, up to you..
If you can sacrifice the shorter tire life span, do it.
p.s 5.29's and 33"s will make for a fun truck. Who wants to cruise at 80+miles per hour in a lifted truck anyways?
Fastest I ever go is 65-70..

Lots of opinions here. I'd say go with the majority or your gut feeling. I ran full spools on a Scout years ago and the dang thing ate 35's in less than a year. I'll tell you though that off road you couldn't stop the damn thing, with out the ram assist you couldn't turn it either but in a straight line it'd climb sheer walls till it fell over backwards.
If it were me though I'd drop a little money on a lunch box type locker.
