Speed sensor interchange/ 92 4r
Hello, and apologies for not submitting a proper introduction (if there is a thread to do so). I've got a 92 4r sr5 with the 3.0 and an autotragic trans. apparently, someone along the way changed the tc on it (to a chain driven unit if i have read correctly), so now ive got a cable speed sensor and a dangling wiring harness, not to mention no working speedo or odo. i am aware of the marlin crawler adapter, which if i understand correctly, would fix my issue, but i am wondering A) what my options are for just replacing the sensor, and B) if someone has one laying around that they would part with for a reasonable sum. any help on identification/ interchange info would be most appreciated.
**edit:*** yes, i searched, and found nothing of use.

ive checked *most* yards around here, and have yet to find a single option. ive even looked for supercharged previas, as they apparently share the speed sensor. all with no luck. Thanks also for the clarification on the t/c's. my only previous yota 4x4 experience was with an fj80 series land cruiser, so im still acclimating to codes/ options/etc....

let me look in my box. i have a spare trans that might have the sensor on it. if i still have it its all yours for 20 bucks paypal. better than 214.00 from napa.

is the sensor in the trans or tcase. i have the speed sensor that goes in between the two on the trans output and is on the tcase housing right where it bolts to the trans. not the gear driven unit on the tcase.
