Okay, my buddy has a 33x13.50 micky thompson baja claw, brand new, never touched ground, that he said he would give me for $40. I am just going to run this as a spare. Would this work on a stock sr5 wheel? I think it might be too wide but for a spare that won't see the ground often, and if any for a very short time. whats you opinion? Please help, if im going to pick this up it would be tonight!

Is this worth purchasing? Im running 33x12.50's on it now, and these baja claws don't look any wider than the 12.50's

how big r your normal tires??
they might rub if your dont have any lift! its wide

yeah it would be worth it as a spare why not!
thats a 100+ dollar tire if you get a rim too def get it!

Actually i see them for $206 for 33x12.50's. Can't find any 13.50's though online.

I have a 4" lift, 12.50's don't rub. I think the stock rim im asking if it would fit on is a 15x7

its pretty wide for a 7" wheel.. i think it would mount.. for 40 bucks id say go for it!

Shoot, i was thinking it was too wide also, but i was curious since it is a spare. and $40 for a full size spare.

Basically i really want to know if it will mount, and if it would be okay as a SPARE which i hope will never see ground, and if it does it would probably be for like 25 miles tops, which is about how far away i go wheeling.

at least with that skinny rim you shouldn't have to worry about popping a bead running low psi

Im runing a 15.50 on a stock Toyota wheel for a spare. Granted its a 38 but they fit on the wheel fine. I would just be worried about clearing balljoints and the frame.
Worth a shot though.

yea it should work, the onyl reason it's better to get a wider rim with wider tires is for offroad and daily driving but for a spare it should be fine, and yea make sure it fits up front without rubbing the UCA cause if you don't fix that before you need to use it, it won't be any use up front at least

Okay, well i ended up picking up the tire. Freaking beefy!!

Anywho, i plan on taking it to a tire shop if any are up here due to this fire, and get it mounted.

If it doesn't clear on the front, then i guess i will be doing a couple of switches on the truck in order to run it in the back.

Now question is, when i buy new tires, if i were to run the spare in the back and say its taller than the tires i have when i get new ones, since i have a locker in the back, how would i go about using it? Could i air the taller one down so they are ruffly the same hight and get away with it?

It'll mount fine, but it will pooch a lot, and reduce overall diameter.
