Sorry newb question BL stuff

I didnt really search for this, if anyone has been kepping up with my endless struggle for a lift here goes. So I have been having every single problem I can run into with my truck go wrong. CV axles are binding up, steering is out of whack on and on. So I have decided to turn the TBars way way down and remove the rear coil spacers, so I want to do a BL. Well I am removing 2'' off suspension and have some tire rub ATM so will 2" body lift be any better? Or will I need 3''? And how bad is a 3''? I have heard bad things about them are they horrible? How hard are BLs? I know its bassically bigger bushings under the truck connecting to the frame but do I need to make any wires longer? I have heard of having shifter problems afterwards as well. Thanks in advance again guys and thanks for hanging in there with me.

BL's are for tire clearance and 2" should fix you up if you're doing that after removing the 2" SL. With 2" SL you're still flexing around and bottom into the tires, with the BL the body isn't going to flex except like a stock suspension will so it'll help a lot with the tire rub. If you go the 3" route yes there are some things you may have to modify to get to work correctly but 3" is also sometimes the cutoff for where you do or where you don't need to lengthen brakelines or wires. Its a crapshoot so do the BL and if you gotta lengthen a couple things its only a snip and a crimp away.

I would recomend a body lift, mine was not to hard to install and gave me good clearance for a really good price.

I have gotten used to the longer throws with the 3" extension welded in, no biggie.
