Someone smashed my bumper last night

What do you guys think of this damage? As far as I can tell, it's just the rear brackets on the frame that are tweaked a little. I called the police and they advised me to file a counter claim. I'm waiting on the call from my insurance later today. I'm thinking I can get paid out for the aftermarket bumper and damage and then have a buddy help me fix it.

Sorry for the small images, I think I need to lower my camera's resolution, but you can see where it was hit on the passenger side and it bent the bracket inwards.

get an estimate from a body shop etc etc give that to the insurance company and then take the money and run. Heck you might get enough to pay for a TG bumper or something which is probably cheaper than an aftermarket FEY bumper lol..

well, my buddy in town does body work so he's gonna give me a solid estimate. The officer told me to file a counter claim against his insurance.....so we'll how my Progressive agent handles it.

My mounting brackets are welded to the frame. Does is it come stock like that or was it the aftermarket bumper company that did that?

The bumper was made by bundy bumper company in Oklahoma and are now out of business.

Since I only have liability, if I can get a settlement I think I might get an Addicted Offroad bumper, it's still all up in the air though.
