snapped e-brake... again

Yeah so I snapped my e-brake on my way home from work. So I looked and I snapped the rear drivers side cable. Right at the pivot point where the passenger side cable hooks up.

So I managed to get it out. I had to bend the two clamps on the passenger side frame rail since their mounting bolts are seized (starting to strip), cut the cable into 4 peices and finally convinced it ( me on my back, bracing myself on the tires pulling with all my weight) to come out.

But I cannot get it out of that rear pivot/mount point... I ended up cutting what was left of the cover about 2" from that, so I didnt have it flopping around.

obviously im gonna have to deal with this and those two frame brackets once I get the new cable... thoughts? Help!

I hate this stupid e-brake...

Haha!

I really gaver but she was not budging. If no one has any info, Im gonna wait till I have thew new cable in hand.. See how it routes through there and then make my move.

Those bolts where just gonna strip if I put anymore force on them.. So I just bent them enough to let the cable out..

Picked up the new cable. $65 bucks... lame! I hate the local autoparts stores, so expensive.

The cable came as the complete rear unit. So I guess the reason why I couldnt undo the joint was becasue......... Its not supposed to come apart! derrr!

Will install as soon as I can find a covered place to work in, or it stops raining (HA!)..
