Hey,
I just recently bought my 2nd 4runner ( 3rd yota ) and I want some info on the best 2" lift or level kit ??? Want to avoid body lift ! I don't want a huge lift or do crazy wheelin.. i've had enough of that with my last 4runner.... I just wanna ride on the beach and maybe get some 33's ... I hate how the back is lower than the front it's driving me crazy! I was thinkin maybe just lift the rear and throw some 33x10.50 up under it? It's a big change for me to go from 8" lift on 35's to stock on 31's lol... but I like i said I just wanna ride on the beach.. no mud or rocks anymore.. I'll post some pics of the new ride and the old one

well ive heard that toytech makes pretty good lifts... and they arent expensive
you can fit 33x10.50's stock too by the way
and to get rid of your sag without a lift you can take out your spear tire and take off your rear bumper... i dont know where you like but taking off your bumper may be illegal since you dont have a commercial vehicle

The red one has waaaaay too much lift IMO.

Some LC coils in the rear will jack it up pretty good, but you will also need new longer shocks and a longer brake line. You could also use some coil spacers for the rear.

appreciate the link... never heard of that site... looks like i might of found what i'm looking for 33's would clear easy with a 2" lift right? 33x10.50 biggest u can go on stock rim?

Sdori sells 1.5" ball joint spacers, and 2" coils spacers. You should be able to clear 33x10.5 15's no problem. Maybe a lil pinch weld flatting...

what the heck is IMO? And the red one is sold.. I just added the pic to show that I didn't want something that extreme anymore... Coil spacers in rear require new shocks too?

And no. I have them on my BEAST. And I didn't need to lenghten the rear brake lines.

"IMO" = In my opinion. You could probably get away with 2" maximum coil spacers without changing shocks, but it would probably be close?

well thanks for the links... I may just go with the coil spacers and raise the rear and leave the 31's or go 2" all around with 33's... have to decide Prob go hit the beach completely stock first and see how she does.. I'm sure I'll be airing down within a few mins tho

For driving on the beach you prolly don't need to do anything..... I drive on the beach all the time (soft and wet sand), never air down.... never have to use my rear locker either. Throw it in 4hi and you're good........no lift, all season tires, never get stuck.

Just throw a set of the Moog coils, or similar, in the back and call it good. Nice lookin runner by the way.

this subject has been discussed dozens of times if you'd just use the search button. but to answer your question on a small lift on a 4runner, best way would be to use taller coils instead of coil spacers, BJ spacers up front, and longer shocks all the way around. adjustable panhard rod might be a good idea if you're lifing the rear, but probably not necessary with such a little amount of lift. done.

33s will fit on stock suspension, but most likely gonna have some rubbing issues with your butt sagging like it is.

Okay ive never run ball joint spacers, but do some searching on it. Then im not sure what to do for the rear to match.

I ran mine stock, then went to a 4" ifs front lift and lc coils in the back,

Then to 4" sas with the same damn coils in the back (leafs under it soon)

If you lift the back i would recommend a panhard drop bracket, since that bar is what centers the rear axle under the rig. search on 4crawler.com he has some good stuff you can look into.
