Single piece drive shaft
I am looking to get rid of my 2 piece shaft on my extra cab truck. I have searched this site and found nothing on who makes single shafts for them. I can get one custom made but was wondering if there is a place that make them alwready?

You can have the shaft you already have lengthened, just decide if you want a u-joint on each end of a CV on one end, as that will affect what you need to do with the pinion angle:

i can tell you why i switched.... my center support bearing was going out and the price for it was about the same as a 1 piece shaft.
i figured, what better way to eliminate a complicated system of CSB and CV's u-joints etc with one clean DS....

i can tell you for a fact that the 2 peice is WAY stronger than the 1 peice. yea the bearing may be the same cost, but it's also much stringer meaning much greater support. It's the same game we play with Skylines at the shop. some peopel want the extra 7-10 hp gain and others want their shaft to be as strong as possible. it's a personal choice, but me, I'll take strength over a slight pwoer increase anyday. Power can always be made up some how.
