4" pioneer speakers in the dash, 6.5" pioneer speakers in the doors, 300 watt 4 channel amp for the speakers, 2 10" rockford subs powered by 600 watt sony xplod amp. The amps fit under each seat just fine. The speakers are self explanatory. As far as the subs, Just find a single thin truck box for both subs, or 2 individual smaller truck boxes for each sub.

^dang, that's a lot of speaker in a small space!

i've got an x-cab, but don't have anything behind me and my "system" works just fine for me, especially since it only came with 2, 4" dash speakers - currently rocking a trail-mix setup with 4" boston acoustics in the dash, 6.5" pioneers in the doors and a Sony head unit. you could definitely put some 6x9s in the doors like creswellhick stated, but you might need some spacers unless you have wing windows (less glass=more room in door panel). people put sub boxes behind the seat in single cabs all the time. there are plenty of pics here on YT of sound systems in rigs. man, now i need subs and amps...

If you want to maintain some in-cab storage space, and willing to slack a little on sound (save $): I had 6x9 alpines in the front door corners, 4" kenwoods in the dash, and some thin 8" or so sub under the driver's side of the bench, and the amp on the other. Had that in my 2wd standard cab

But x2 on the COUNTLESS great set-ups on here, you'll find one that works

i was thinking about making a center console and making a spot for a sub between the seats. Something like this: http://image.minitruckinweb.com/f/30...p+interior.jpg

But obviously less elaborate and fancy. Just something simple. Anyone have any experience with this sorta thing?

but in all seriousness, i know a guy with a 91 single cab, and he custom made boxes to squeeze on the outer walls of the cab, behind the seats.

he cut into the plastic trim, and shoved the sub boxes in the holes he cut so that way not the whole box was exposed, just a way to get more room.

next time i see him i'll take pictures. they will most likely be cell pics though :/

Sound system

I have a 86 Toyota pickup single cab I have 2 Rockford fosgate p3 12s dual 2ohm subs they are not shallow mount subs!!! in a custom box I built myself behind the seat has a divider in the box and I have 2 6x9 in the top and 2 4inch tweeters under dash were the stock speakers were. 12s are being pushed by a autotek 2100.1 not quite big enough but it's extremely loud and low bass. Mids and highs being pushed by a kicker pxa300.4 amps have a custom mounting box in the toolbox built everything myself I will post pics up in the daytime
