Shock rubbing
The rubber insert on the top of my shock (in the shock collar) has been rubbed away (they are OLD shocks). Is it ok to keep driving around like this? I can't replace the shocks just yet. Here is a pic. P.S. the rust you see is just surface rust, the pic makes it look SOOOOO much worse.

If i remember correctly you have the lift right? Just throw it on. May look goofy with small tires, but then you can use your good shocks
Or are you waiting to install gears first?

its super noisy lol i couldnt really hear it though it blended in with my rattling tailgate, so when i fixed that today i heard something else rattling and then i discovered my wonderful exposed shock collar. It's probably been like that since i bought the truck 10K miles ago...
