Shackels

I had to cut mine off when I removed the springs. Went to the dealer and they quoted me more for the rear shackles than i paid for the OME springs. That wasn't happening so i picked up a set of stock replacement shackles off of Ebay. They're Doorman brand, nothing fancy, but they are identical to stock at a fraction of the price. I haven't installed them yet but don't see any issues. My truck is a 93 but I'm sure they have something for yours as well. Good luck.

Yah I'm thinking that mine aren't gonna come off too well and figured might as well replace them. How much did the dealer quote you for springs? I found a local supplier with OEM replacement springs and they wanted more than the Old Man Emu springs I was looking at.

I didn't get a quote on springs from the dealer. I went straight to the Old Man Emu. I bought the package from rocky-road.com. They are huge compared to the stock springs. My truck is sitting in pieces in the garage still and I'm trying to get myself pumped up about it again so I'm diving into build threads and things.

The OEM rear shackle kit 04483-35040 is about $60 http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/...rimLevel=18293
Dorman claims to not carry your shackle http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearc...&q=04483-35040, but the Dorman shackles for later-year vehicles are about the same price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dorman-722-023-Leaf-Shackle-Kit-/131292054153?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AToyota&hash=item1e919dc289&vxp=mtr

After looking at that link i would definately buy the OEM for $58. I'm in Canada and we are constantly screwed on parts prices. I cant remember the exact price i was quoted but it was about $200 per side for OEM shackles. No way in hell I'm paying that, even though I try to keep most things OEM or better.

I'm looking on 4wheelonline.com and they want about 150 per spring for the 0-2 inch lift including bushings. But they want 115 per shackle!

That's my plan, except I'm hoping to manage with the stock Torsion bars. Are you going with OME shocks as well? They are expensive!

Yes I am. The OME nitro shocks and steering stabilizer are all included in the kit. I figure they spent that much time designing the system to work together I might as well use them together. Laying side by side with my stock shocks the OME are huge.
