Seat Fixings - Fitting Prelude seats
Going to be swapping a bench seat out tomorrow, i've had a route about and noticed that the bench has 4 fixings (bolts) at the back but only 2 at the front.
Do any of you fine Gentleman happen to know the size of the bolts that I'll need
so as to replace the two that have not been utilised with the bench seat.
Can these be purchased at home depo or an Autozone or just from the Toyota spares depo?
Many thanks.

When I pulled my bench, the cab had 8 places for bolts. 4 that the bench were using were the same I believe, 2 that the seat belt buckles were using, these were different than the bench bolts. There were 2 holes in the floor beside the transmission tunnel that would be used if your truck came from the factory with bench seats. These wont have the nuts in them.

Yes I second the nuts not being there, I just took my carpet up to mount an iPad mount to a hole I thought would be there but it isn't. I would imagine you need to weld a nut or get a jack nut to make it fly but once you dig in I'm sure you will see the situation.

I'll take one out when I get to the shop tomorrow.
I've a feeling they are M10 x 1.25 I'll know for sure later.
I'll put in a couple of M10 x 1.50 rivet nuts if there are no nuts welded
in place.

Hi sorted the seating, took the seats out then rain stopped play had a think about fitting the seats and decided to make two brackets out of 1/4" 2" x 2" box section.
Drilled 12 mm holes at 2" centres one hole through top and bottom and the other only through the top, ended up with 3 holes when only needed 2 however was easier this way than turning it over and drilling again.
Using the box section I was able to keep the seat belt bolt and bolt the seat to the top.
1993 Honda Prelude seats they even match the interior, reused the toyota female part of the seat belt as the two ends didn't match.
It took me longer to get the 2" box section than fitting the seats.
I then did a google search to find a walmart and bought a centre console for $29.00 what a deal.
