Heys guys I have a question for you all I have a 94 DLX Ex cab 4x4 manual 22re with 49,500 miles on it the truck is in pretty much mint condition it was indeed a rare find however i think it was sitting for awhile and a few weeks after i bought it sometimes when i am at a stop and go to start out the truck makes a screeching noise its hard for me to describe anyway after i am through 1st gear and shift into second it goes away it seems to only do it when i'm accelerating in 1st and to me it sounds like the noise is comming from the steering column but i have no idea you guys have any clue to what this could be like i said i think the truck has been sitting for awhile could it be that something needs lubed and info would be great thanks

Sounds like a Slipping Belt. Replace Fan Belt & Re-Tension, should do the job for ya. Once the engine has warmed up, or if you rev it a little the noise goes away right? Get a good quality belt or a Yota belt and tension it correctly and your woes will be gone.

NO the belts seem to be fine and are tight it won't goaway after it warms up it just doesn't do it after first gear when the truck gets up to speed it almost sounds liek something needs tightened ot lubed but i don't know what it could be

Will it screech in neutral?

No only when the truck is in motion for like 10 seconds until i pick up speed

It might be the clutch although your lack of mileage really wouldn't indicate that. Does it sound like a 'burrr'?

Yeah only higher pitched it almsot seems like there's something binding up and causing a noise but i don't actually feel anything different I just hear the noise
