Do you mean the thin sheen of oil on everything?
While not out of the ordinary, its not a GOOD thing, but usually no cause for panic either, keep an eye on it, and keep it clean, that way you can tell if the leak ever gets worse, and when it is time to fix it...a lot of guys would say fix it now....but hey...if you can live with it for now...it looks good from my house.

Common, I'd say if you're not dripping, then you are fine. If you feel so inclined, clean all of the grime off and see how it looks a bit later. Chances are the grime that is on there is many years in the making.

Infiltrator...treat it like a small cut, just rub some dirt in it.
Dude, you're the victim of an automatic transmission, probably a 2wd version, right, that's been probably used to haul alot of stuff, and had some atf blow past the input shaft seal. That, and a bit of blowby oil from the rear of the valve covers.
Go ahead and clean it all down, it should be fine, you'll still get a few drops of atf from the vent (silver bellhousing cover vent) for a bit, but if you take it a bit easier, it should subside. If it is a continuous issue, as in it's already happened a lot before, and has affected the seal to the point where more than, say 5 or 6 drips a week, where you're able to verify fluid loss, as in check the transmission dipstick, get the seal replaced. Dealership or Transmission shop cost w/ the part was around $286 for a friends rig. also make sure if the transmission's ever serviced and the pan gets pulled that there's actually FIPG used, rather than a short-cutted use of a cork style gasket, that in time will leak. *The FIPG is a more involved process that takes an extra day for the material to cure, but is per O/E spec, and will rarely leak anything if done correctly.

All their transmissions leak at some point, just depends on how much.
Somebody needs to post a pic of their R-150 after a hard weekend..

will do four, i will clean it and show my great cleaning skills, then ill monitor it. yes, you read my mind, i unfortunately have the 2wd... im not the big offroader, i use it for trips and stuff, and when we bought it were were tight on cash (my dad bought it what 13 years ago? hahahahah) now hes got a new 40,000 acura lmao!
i got the runner, and im not the best tech guy ever, and i tell you every time i come on here, i learn something cool.. i love it.
got another question...
okay so im going to do seafoam.
im putting it in all 3 places pcv valve, crankcase, and in tank...
when i change the oil, im doing synthetic...
should i buy like 2 quarts more of synthetic to add, when leakage happens?
another thing which SUCKS, my oil gauge is broken, the thing i think broke off lonnngggg time ago.. someone said it would cost 30 bucks to fix, but i was gay and said "oh ill dip the stick in every week" and never do it lol...

You actually have a VERY good point. Mine's been leaking for a long long long time.....not a single bolt in my engine compartment is rusted/stuck. Instead they are just entombed in oily dirt.
