sas info
I drive an 86 4runner that's been dead a while, but I've found the cause to the problem. In the search for used parts I ran across an older toyota pickup truck (22re w/solid front axles). my question (even though it may be redundant), will this axle work under my truck? I'm pretty damn positive it will, but i figured I'd ask some experts first. Also, what else would I need? I've done SAS to a couple chevy's and a ford a while back, but have never ventured into the toyota suspension. What am i getting into is the main question, and how much would u pay for a yota solid front axle?

1985 was the first year for efi (22re) and the last year for the solid front axle.
any 1980-85 axle will work in your sas but will be 3" shorter, you will need some wheel spacers to make it look right.
Search for sas advice, this is probibly the most common suspension mod talked about..
