Hey guys,
I replaced the rear shocks but the back of my truck (especially the rear passenger side) sags.
I haven't had a car/truck with rear leaf springs before. Is my only option new leaf springs?
87 base cab long bed 2wd 22r 160k miles

If they springs are flat Yes replacing is the only way to fix it correct .

All kinds of Band Aids can be done but most often lead to more problems.

Pictures are a big help on things like this.

there are people that can re arch them , somebody working in the big rig sector might know . i know they have some dude in LI, NY that does it .
its probably cheaper to buy springs though , i just bought ARB springs for $105 each off amazon

It is a personal thing but if I go to all the trouble to remove springs I am not going to have them rearched .

I have not seen that in years and with the labor rates it might be cheaper to buy new ones

You can search for the Zuk mod. Basically you add a coil spring on top of your leaf pack. It's cheap and slightly better than a band aid, more of a walking cast while you still have a broken foot.

The proper way is new springs. Wether you use new toyotas or aftermarket like OME or similar, fresh steel is your goal. Rearching doesn't work very well on 30+ year old steel and light duty trucks in general.
