rusty fuel line at filter
Just bought a 1991 4runner v6 4x4. I am new to yotatech and think this forum is amazing. I have searched and searched and learned alot but I am really stuck here. Any info is greatly appriciated.
I tried to change the fuel filter today and found out that the line is really rusted right at the filter on the engine side and is leaking. My question is:
Would I be able to cut out the bad part and "patch" a new line from my new filter to the existing hard line?
Do I have to replace the whole line from the filter to the engine?
Where does the hard line go from the fuel filter towards the engine?
I am not looking to spend alot of money, so cheaper is better, but I also want it to be safe.
Thanks

You should be able to cut out the leaking line and patch it up with some rubber line from a auto parts store. You'll need some hose clamps as well. I did this on my 90 last August and it's held up great ever since.
