Question rust spots on bed

As most of us know the cabs and chassis of an 88 22-re were manufactured and assembled in japan, while the beds were manufactured in mexico and california and then assembled in cali. The cabs will not rust if proper maintenence is done to the paint and under carraige, the boxes however are not as easy to keep looking good. I have 2 "cancer spots" eating through completely on one side and bubbling the paint on the other. I cannot weld and shape new metal because of complications with rust near the filler neck, plus the other side is rusting at the seams and it would be hard to re joint the pannels and i would hve to remove a lot of metal. Junk yard beds are just as rusted.

I am wondering if anyone knows a good source for a brand new bed (unpainted) or if there is another year bed that will bolt up easily and is less prone to rust. Any help is greatly appreciated.
