Running rich?
I had to replace my catalytic converter a couple of weeks ago and since then my 3.0 has an unburned gas smell in the exhaust. So bad, I start it outside, fumes linger in garage too much.
Engine has a K&N Filter pak and I adjusted the AFM two notches leaner. It was running fine before the cat replacement; it's an aftermarket - couldn't see paying Toyota pricing.
All the stock sensors are in place as is the stock muffler.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've got a RV cam in mine. The AFM and ECU don't seem to adjust to weather changes very well. It will run rich or lean as the wheather changes. Unburnt gas will kill a convertor. Really a PITA, I just turn the AFM wheel one click depening on the situation.
I'm sure its not the best solution.

well I have the smae smell coming from my exhaust and it seems to run a few rpms higher at idle now too, I have not changed the o2 sensors and I always have a check engine light on. does this sound like a classic o2 sensor problem?
