Hi everyone, did a head gasket, timing chain, oil pump, water pump, replacement, all parts from enginebldr,
1987 22re. Got her started today, problem is, noticed she was missing.
losend distrubtor and advanced it back and forth, no change,
Started pulling plug wires to see which one was maybe affected.
found when i pull #1 wire it runs the same as it was hooked up... so for some reason #1 is missing?,,, any help here will be great,, did try differnt spark plug,, plug wire,,, pulled dist and checked t.d.c. 3 times.. HELP!
Thanks.

Thanks for feedback! was thinking, maybe #1 fuel injector? I am getting nice spark from #1 plug wire, Funny thing when i was taking her apart, i had marked each injector wire 1thu4, Had to take the whole intake apart for a good clean and check,
when putting back together #1 injector wire had no mark? there is another p;ug that looks like injector plug i had put a #1 on? sorry this what i was thinking in shower last night. hope it makes sence,,well back to the garage,,,,thank you so much.I will try all your posted ideas.

If there is another connector nearby that will fit the fuel injector, then that is a good possibility with an easy fix. If that does not work, check the fuel injector plug with a node light and check the compression on the #1 cylinder.

Try removing the distributor cap and checking inside for any damage.
My Runner was running only on 3/6 cylinders and I found a piece in my distributor was messed up a couple days ago (got it back from the mechanics like that)
New distributor fixed it right up.
Edit: Sorry I thought yours was a 3.0..
