Runner 3vze Mystery Part
I remember taking this off to paint.. It was months ago and now I can't remember where this goes.. I know it was used to hold a hose from moving as you can see from the grooved tabs.. There is a bolt and bent tab very close together on the other end, so this must mean that there are two holes somewhere, very close together.. I'm not finding any that this thing will go.. My thinking is that it is from the front frame area.. near the radiator.. ps hose? trans cooler hose? vac hose? I know three things that it is NOT.. It is NOT a cable related part, it is NOT for the high and low pressure lines where it crosses under the fan (photo of this area attached) and it is NOT the hose holder that is just under the oil filter.. Any ideas would be appreciated.. I took photos of every angle before I started this project and can't see this part in any shot.. I also looked at every photo I could find on the web of this engine compartment with no luck.. I am stumped..
Thanks.
Thanks.

On the 5vz-fe, there is a similar guide clamp on the driver side that attaches to the block/upper manifold that the transmission cable snaps into, I believe.
Possibly something similar on yours?

Thanks for the ideas.. I was convinced that it went toward the front of the frame somewhere but when rw said that it might come off the trans, I started to look further back.. I couldn't find any place for it on the driver's side but I think I found where it goes.. On the trans, right at the starter, it bolts in and the bracket spans the starter.. I know when I was taking off the stock manifold that there were harnesses, cables and the throttle cable from the trans that went right through there so that makes sense.. It was so much fun taking off the manifolds and crossover and parts were flying everywhere.. After two days of trying to get the last nut off with and impact, 14 swivel and a three ft extension, I finally used an open end wrench and a garden hoe for leverage.. It was all a blur..
Thanks again for the help..
