Roommate totaled my 4-runner time for a new one
I have a 92 pretty much stock. engine runs terrible, leaks oil, but body was in mint condition. Last night my roommate took my truck and managed to hit some jeep head on in our parking lot. Body damage wasn't significant on either car but my steering box got trashed and the IFS is also trashed.
I'm not that upset I only spent 1900 on the truck and insurance will most likely give me something in the 3k range.
Most importantly I have decided to go with a first gen runner and I found an 87 22RTE turbo only 15 miles away and for only 2400 obo.

here is the link to the add tell me what you guys think? is it worth the turbo or am I going to get myself in over my head?

man that sux, glad to see you want to get another Yota though!
not a bad looking Runner actually. The turbos are getting harder and harder to find, and that's reletively low mileage at 166k! And a pretty good price; that's cheaper than what I paid for my 91
when I read the thread title, I couldn't tell whether you meant time for a new Runner, or time for a new room-mate

haha well if everything works out with the new runner then I will settle for that. If things go down hill I might just want a new roommate as well!

not physically but im always browsing craigslist. it looks to be clean but i'm not a fan of the turbo, its hard on the bottom end i'd rather just have a 22re.
