Roof rack on a 3rd gen Extra Cab?
I've been looking for awhile for roof racks for my 1994 extra cab and havent found many. Post pics with your racks, can be custom and from companys, Thule, Yakima, etc.

Oh, to actually contribute....
Racks aren't generally made for this type of pickup being that there's only one door on each side to secure the towers. IOW's, it wouldn't give much of a span for load bars and make for a very useful rack.
On the other hand, see what you can find for the Tacoma "crew cabs". Those have two doors on either side. Not sure if the roof line is the same, but worth checking on for suitable towers/feet.
Then, there is the artificial rain gutter/last resort option. But, you'd have to drill on your truck. Meh :/

Thanks for the advice guys. And Spearo, your roof rack is very nice. Im thinking about either one like yours or maybe save up and get a nice camper shell. IDK yet, maybe a custom roof rack? Dont really know anybody in the sac area. Anybody? lol

get a camper shell, then build a roof rack for the ENTIRE length of the truck! (from the front of the cab, to the back of the camper top)
that'd be pretty massive though lmao

Well, you could always get the shell and a low pro contractors rack or something similar and add some crossmembers. I dunno if you've got access to a welder or know anyone who does though. That sort of goes along with Camo's idea of building a roof length rack but takes the hard part of figuring out how you're going to mount it and the initial design. I suppose that does kind of suck some of the fun out of building your own though.... Then again, I know the yakima load warrior has extensions you can buy for it that are actually pretty cheap on ebay. Thing about that is that you've got to pony up for the yakima rack in the first place. I also saw some small racks on e-bay when I was looking for one for my 4-runner. And don't worry too much about drilling into your roof. just put some gasket maker on whatever you mount and you should be okay.

Thanks for the compliments. I did all the fabwork myself, (except the sliders, although I will be fabbing my own soon). As seen in the top pic, the truck is SAS'd now, the two lowers pics are older pics.
The scoop is actually required due to the 3.4 swap, but yes it adds to the looks as well. I also opened in up to give more ventilation to the engine bay.
As for the rack, it is nice having the storage ontop as well as in the bed. Going on trips, the truck gets loaded full in the bed and the rack, as you can see in the pics.

I do plan on making the bed a sleeping pltform, I hate sleeping in a tent when it rains. Thats just me lol. And idk about fabbing a full length rack; maybe a rack on top of the camper shell might be ok. i guess Im just going to get a camper shell and start from there.
