rod bearing problem
im having a problem with my rebuild. my new rod bearings on number 4 are getting chewed up about a 1/4 inch wide on both bearings on the same side. i cleaned the crank journal and i reversed the bearings (bearing cap on connecting rod-on bearing cap) to see if the other side would get chewed up. i turned it over for a bit pulled it back off and checked the bearings there was very very lite marks nothing major. so i put 2 new bearings in and same thing very very lite marks. so whats making the marks I'm worried because i don't want to chew up the new bearings and the crank. the crank is fine i don't feel any roughness or any gouges. any one got any ideas, i was thinking about just turning it over a few more times before i put it back together to see if it gets worse. by the way every thing is standard.
