Replacing knock sensor and wire?

I've got everything off and I'm about to put the new sensor and wire back in. Since the wires on these can't take the heat is there anything I can put around the wire to protect it better? Also, any other suggestions before I put it all back together?

Thanks

Can't take the heat, after XXX thousand miles, what would you expect from a wire sandwiched between the intake manifold & the engine block?!?

It should have the rubber insulator insert that protects it where in runs through the intake...do if you have that in place, not much else you can do...

I wrapped the wire in aluminum tape. That should help keep temps down a little.
