Did you clean the inside of the adjusting sleeve. Clean it out best you can I used a small stainless brush, looks just like a toothbrush, sprayed the inside with Brake cleaner, scrubbed and blew it out with compressed air. Before installing my tie rods into the sleeve I put neever seize on the threads, it help to lubricate and best of all helps keep them from rusting up after playing in the mud and dirt all the time.

Did you measure it before you took it apart?
If not you could figure out what it was by looking at the old threads.
And as you discovered one is RH and the other is LH thread.

Both outers are the same, both inners are the same. If an inner and outer had the same RH thread they would not adjust. Only the adjusting sleeve would move back and forth on the tie rods and their distance between each other wouldn't change.
Can you tell if any of the tie rods are longer than the ones you took out? Are they butting up against each other or is it the threads on the adjusting sleeve holding you up? You want to try to have the same amount of thread showing outside of the sleeve on both inner and outer tie rods. (L side equal to each other----Rt side equal to each other.
Use some lube if its the threads holding you up or maybe pry open the sleeves a little. I like to just replace the sleeves if both inner and outer tie rods are getting changed.
