Reman recommendations

Seeking opinions/advice/recommendations for reman engine suppliers for my 3.0. Also is there a difference/preference to US vs Japan motors?
Thanks

What's your budget? IMHO I would consider swapping in a 3.4 you won't be sorry. There's a boat load of threads on doing the swap, read some of them.
When mine goes I'm doing a swap.

Thanks guys. I kinda figured the 3.4 swap would be the first recommendation. However here's my situation. The 95 has a great clean frame & undercarriage. Loads of new parts and runs really good otherwise The bad is the truck has a salvage rebuilt title & that I've got 5500 in it already on a 18yr old vehicle. From the estimates I'm getting here in Cleveland i'm looking at roughly 5k just for a rebuilt 3.0 installed. That's 3k for the engine 7 1500 for the work then there's the incidentals and tax. So I'd be looking at 10k. I know a 3.4 swap would be considerably more expensive even if I could find a shop here in Cleveland that would touch it.
So the question remains what to do??

You could swap in a 3.4 for less than $4,000 with a new timing belt and labor...

Mine on my 95 cost me under $1500 and that's $500 in OEM rebuild parts. But I got connections.

Come on over! I'll have lotsa cold beer and bbq waitin for ya when ya get here!
Seriously though if you could spell that out for me in detail how to get that done I would really appreciate it. I can do 4k. I cannot do 6100.00 for a Jasper reman. installed. That is all these shops want to sell and it makes sense from a warranty perspective but not from a Johns pocket book perspective. I have 5500 in it already. Shop rates here in Cleveland are between 65 & 85.00 per hour. I have mentioned the 3.4 swap to three of the four garages I have been gettin estimates from and they all think I'm outta my mind. Am I missing something here??

Normal shops wouldnt do it. Do you have a speciality toyota off road shop? I am lucky where I am at there are a few. If you are not going to do it yourself I wouldn't take it to someone that hasn't previously done this swap before numerous times. Just my .02
