reman flywheel balance

doing a reman.

manual sez to mark flywheel to crank reference. I assume this has something to do with balance.

since the old block is gone, i have no reference alignment for the flywheel on the remanufactured engine.

just bolt it on and hope for the best, or, is there a reference while reman is @ TDC?

any expertise out there would be appreciated.

thanx

I'll have to check on it only going on one way when i get it off the engine stand next week.

I have since found the orientation of my flywheel with respect to TDC on the original block. (I took a lot of pictures). It shouldn't be a problem lining the flywheel up with TDC on the reman.

thanx for the reply!
