AS Reed Valve Question

I found out this gray vacuum valve and tube end is the AS Reed Valve

My question is, in the FSM it looks to have two bolts. Does this vavle bolt to the bottom of the intake or something else? I do not believe it bolts to the engine block. I am hoping to remove it and put a plate to block off what it is attached to. It is kind of hard to see under the intake to look at where it is at.

Thanks

Maybe you've heard us call it the "PAIR" valve?

One side of it should bolt to a pipe that wraps around the back of the engine and up to a 'manifold' that bolts to the exhaust manifold and the part you show in the pic would have a hose up to the resonator that then connects to the tube that connects to the air filter housing.
