It's been a great truck but it's time for a rebuild and I need to make a decision on what direction I want to go.

Goals:

- Eventually trailer to trails that are long distance but have the ability to drive to trails locally and drive to and from trails in
areas like moab. Would see up to 3500 miles a year street + trail time but most likely much less.

- Lower center of gravity (the truck is tippy right now)

- Longer wheelbase - would like to be around 112-115

- Wider track width

- More suspension travel and better traction/power to the ground

- Lose the bed and tube out the rear

- 3 Link Front (14") - 4 Link Rear (14" or 16") coil overs at both ends


Help I need with parts:

- What coil overs to run? FOA, Fox, SWA? Any suggestions based on the above goals?

- What spring rates and lengths for a back halved Toy? Yeah, I've searched a lot but advise seems to range all over the place and
it needs to be a good compromise between crawling and high speed.

- What joints to use? Since I will have some limited street duty I'm leaning towards Johny Joints since I'm just not convinced that
even high quality heims will last.

- What upper link/panhard bar material to use? I've got some 2x2 .250 that I got cheap which I'll probably use for my lower
links. From what I've read I should go at least .188 for uppers but am for any joint/tube combo that works.

- Which axles? Currently I have FJ-80 and FZJ-80 front axles sitting at a buddies house that I picked up for cheap. I've
considered these since;

A) hellfire fab is coming out with their new knuckle/steering setup and B) I already have them and my wheels and tires will bolt
up. Only concern I have at the moment is the hi-pinion's strength and if it'll be wide/heavy enough.

I'm also open to using a 60/70 combo with deep gearing (5.89's or 6.17's) so that I can run 42's PBR's and keep similar ground
clearance to what I've become accustomed to but that will be more expensive and a bit more work.

Here's a vid of how it works now. Any suggestions on ideas to improve are greatly appreciated. I want the tubed rear to have storage for gear and tools but still be linked with coil overs and have a decent departure angle.
