rear wiper and window

i have an 88 runner and the rear window and wiper decided to stop working. When I put the test light into pin 11 in the relay to see if power was getting there it went up and in pin 12 it went down. When i grounded out the wiper (at the relay) it worked as well. Assuming a bad ground i checked the ground near the rear speaker and the wire at pin 10 on the relay and both were grounded. Any ideas. thanks.
