The tint is on backwards...everyone can see in but you cant see out.

hahaha! man that stings! Maybe you should give your tint guy a swift kick in the groin. At least it's not as bad as this guy, tho:

good news is the moron shop should fix your tint for free... if they know what's good for'em.

Tint more likely not on backwards, but...different type.

There are many different types of tint, not only for autos. There is one tint that is a silverly metallic usually applied to houses. At times it can be applied to cars so it is reflective from the outside. In otherwords, not visible from the outside.

Try this, standing from the outside of the car, are all the windos the same. Reflective tint is easily distinguishable. It is possible he put on the reflective film only in the back window. Is it only reflective at night? If so, he put on the reflective film on the back window.

I suggest you stop by another tint shop and get their take on it. Then, visit the installer of your tint shop. I tinted cars back in the late 80s when I was making $100 per hour tinting cars. By the way, back then, tint was only $30 per car and the industry was charging $350 to $700 to tint a car.

Good luck.

no dude...on 2nd gen 4runners the back windows are all tempered glass. all the rear windows are gonna look shiny no matter what you do. the front two windows however are not tempered they are just regular glass so they will go black.
