rear window compatability

would a rear window from a second gen 4runner fit a 1st generation? i thought they were a little different but i found one online that said it fits from 1984-2002.

84-2002 covers at least 3 gens, I think it takes it into a 4th gen.
from owning an '86 and drooling over others I would have to say nope.

they are probably just listing the year range for availability,,

The glass is not the same shape. I have/had both - 1st gen is more square in the corners than the 2nd gens. So no!
